PATTERSON CITY COUNCIL VOTE FOR TWO
James Leonard
As many of you have noticed, we’re having a tough time keeping up with the upcoming election. One thing is clear in this race for council, you have choices. If you like what see from the rubber stamp council, maybe Buehner is your candidate.
However, if your looking for candidate who seems to be pragmatic, calm and steady, yet willing to dance to his own tune, we think Leonard is a solid pick.
We still have plenty of time to elaborate on why Leonard may be the person to change the anemic vibe coming out of city hall. However, at this moment, we’re focusing on some really interesting stories that may shed some more light on a few candidates running for council and mayor.
When a union backs tea party republicans….well maybe there is something in the water.
Larry Buehner
Doing our best to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, we first turn to Larry Buehner. One thing about Mr. Buehner, he has consistently been a participant in the affairs and concerns of the city. Even if it seems like his presence is guided by his business interest…well you may be right at times. However, he really seems genuinely ready to serve the community. I know what your thinking, but over the years, Buehner has shown generosity, and support for community oriented projects.
The Buehner family has been a household name in this city for quite some time. Larry’s father purchased 131 acres of near the river in 1947. His family focused on commercial grain harvesting and ran a cattle and hog operation. Larry and his father opened Triangle Truck & Equipment in 1966.
While the family had some rental housing habitability issues in the 80s and 90s, they appear to have cleaned up their act and properties.
We have little concern about Larry’s abilities to hold office, our main concerns center around those similar to Ramos, can he be unbiased when a buddy is before him asking for a general plan amendment, zoning change, or use permit. Time will tell.

REALLY???CUELLAR???BUEHNER??LEONARD?? SERIOUSLY IF THIS HERE IS POSSIBLE IMA RUN FOR MAYOR NEXT YEAR CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TOO MEE IF LEONARD IS ADEQUATE FOR THIS???HE SHOULD STICK TOO THE IRRIGATOR HE HAS NO BUISSNESS IN WANTING TO RUN MY TOWN…CUELLAR WITH ALL DO RESPECT REALLY IS HE CAPABLE??AND BUEHNER WOW N LAST BUT NOT LEAST NOVELLI NOW THAT SHES IN COUNCIL MAYBE SHE WILL IMPROVE THE CUPONS GIVING ON THE HOMETOWN SHOPPER!!

Despicable One,
Despite the criticism this site hands out to candidates, we understand that it takes a lot of ganas to put your name in the hat and run for office.
Leonard was more than qualified, he appears to be an independent thinker who actually has ideas, that can’t be bad. Not sure where the whole Irrigator thing is coming from, unless you are pointing out that he should write and not lead…we disagree here. Leonard is definitely ready, and I’m sure he will be given an opportunity to show his leadership in the very near future.
Buehner said some interesting stuff on the campaign trail, not exactly what this site supports. No one can take away his willingness to serve, and more than most of us are willing to give.
Time and time again, Cuellar hands down a vote that is inline with half of the residents in Patterson. While he is often on the losing end of the vote, he votes his conscious, something that I applaud and support.
Novelli has been defined by everyone but herself. Give her a chance, we think she has more substance than the coupon jab.
Bottom Line: Election is over, let’s talk issues and solutions.

YEAH WE SHOULD,,AND I POSTED MY COMMENT WAY AFTER THE ELECTION BUT THATS BECAUSE I DISCOVERED THIS SITE COUPLE DAYS AGO..AND HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR I CAN ANALYZE MORE AND BACK UP MY FACTS..NOT REFERRING TO ANYTHING WRITTEN PRIOR TO THIS.HOPEFULLY THROUGH THIS SITE I CAN SHARE MY OPINION WITH THE COMMUNITY IN A MANNERED WAY.ALTHOUGH I CANT USE FANCY WORDS AND MAYBE NON POLITICAL TERMS IM FROM THE STREETS BUT IM ALSO CONCERNED ON WHATS HAPPENING IN THE COMMUNITY AND IN THE NATION..SO THANKS AGAIN FOR GIVING ME THE CHANCE TO AIR OUT WHAT I THINK.

Fancy words not required here, just a passion for community well being. Different folks, with different views, ideas, perspectives is what’s needed in a healthy, productive community. Whether your from the streets or raised with a silver spoon in your mouth, we all can learn from each other.
