Good jobs coming our way…but shouldn’t we direct at least a little attention to Tweedledee Smith and Tweedledum Farinha, who have allowed attorney’s to milk us for what amounts to two…..yes that’s two full-time average salaries. Smith doesn’t care because she hasn’t worked for a living since Tiger’s Den was slanging working man specials.

Don’t think it is a Walmart Distribution Center. The City of Merced approved a large Walmart Merced Distribution Center in Merced. It might be tied up in litigation, but I can’t imagine Walmart would need a large distribution center in both Merced and Patterson.

I probably would be more excited with something other than a distribution center. Where are all the R&D and manufacturing companies?

For the readers of the Patterson IrriGator,there was an article which should have “entertained “those with a wicked twist of the morbid.One has to read between the lines of YOUR VOICE,”A morality tale” by Paul de Landa.At first I thought he was showing off his writing skills for a hopeful first in line for the proposed future Movie Company in Crowds Landing which is being dangle like a carrot by the West Park team.But, after attending the City Council Meeting on November 1st and listening to one of the rental property owners loudly complain of such an injustice to have the Gator press there and not City code enforcement,one had to think that the complaint was being directed to the Mayor and no one else.Also seeing the grafic presentation by the Fire Chief of the fire hazard in that part of town,one must really look at the reality factors.While the line, quote”Brothers Brad and Mole “MISLED” the realty team to the BRothers Grimmm’s squalid rental property”..one has to stop there..”.MISLED”???If there have been complain after complain for years about such problems, isn’t it about time an elected representative of the Community of Patterson at least attempt to do something about it.Why wasn’t at least one of the Four there?Too compromising?Even the Grand Jury can’t touch that because it will get sued.There are problems in the City that are long overdue for attention and before the City begins to continue with the Master Plan Zoneing,some of these problems have to be addressed.The “squalor housing areas” have been in different parts of old Patterson for years and some may just be in a future Commericial Zone which may be more ludicrous than rental property…Maybe…Maybe M street was widened for a reason and it is part of the plan for a major corridor to connect to Commerical properties…Maybe….It is time for a real Public Hearing to assess the real needs of the community of Patterson before Zoning takes place.

This is a most interesting and informative article “Welcome to Buehnerville” of which the writer includes some revealing factors that have a a cause and affect on the present Patterson City Council votes.As harsh as the truth may sound, the Irrigator did published an article(Oct.10,’11) about the “fact-finding” which from its contents indicated that the tour was prompt by the Realtors(representing Westside Council Assoc.of Realtors,Nunes and PMZ Realtors) and were accompanied by the City Manager and the Mayor.For the past twenty years, at least, there have been complaints about the “blight”and ill-kept rental properties.While Real Estate was selling like hotcakes at inflated prices,the affordable rentals by the average resident were there for the least unfortunate who couldn’t afford to buy a home.Patterson became a mecca for those who wanted to invest their “house”money into “real estate”.Then all of a sudden,it appears that the dream dissipated when the economy took a fall.Who was left holding the empty bag?For one,the Banks and Mortgage companies who have the foreclosures,and the Realtors who can’t sell those houses with the inflated prices are now holding the bag with the pyrite or fool’s gold.Are these the landlords that the City of Patterson is going to bail out through grants,bonds and City Codes?If the reader of this article is a Patterson property owner or Stanislaus resident,look at your property taxes…and at the seven items that are voter approved taxes,direct charges and special assessments.(Bond 96,01A,01B,YCCD 20005,2007,2010 and Ambulance District).It is all about money.Because of the devaluation of property,taxes have gone down for some of the property owners,and do correct me if I am wrong.However, there will be a need for more funding for new educational facilities,new hospital facilities,police etc.etc.Now, where will the money for the “financial incentives” for the landlords to rehabilitate their deteriorating properties come from???From the Feds, State, Municipalities…..Whose income?

There is a need to educate the public about the function of the Grand Jury and its legal implications.It appears from the “heated”comments here that there is a confusion as to how that system operates.In his comments to the Patterson Irrigator(Oct 6,2011)Bruce Bickle had some very good questions about the present lawsuit “can she sue the GJ?’Is she going as an Individual or a member of the council?”As a council member,do her actions implicate the City Council”If she proceeds,what type of benefit would she get..who would get it, she or the council”.As residents of Patterson,and represented by the City Council with the advise of the City Attorney,where does the City of Patterson residents stand on this issue?The City Attorney’s response to the GJ report did nothing more than to further incide the matter.Any person should be held responsible for his/her actions, and while sitting or representing a group or public appointed seat ,should think before speaking to an issue which will have an adverse effect on that public group that he/she represents.In this case, an action has taken place that will have an effect on how the City Council continues to functions and the City residents continue to have no voice as tax payers.The members of the County Grand Jury were given a task to answer the complaints about the functions(or malfunctions)of the City Council and because one Council member does not agreed with the findings of the GJ, she has taken the matter to a different level.A City resident’s complaint about an elected public official( that being a City Council member) begins at the City Council board.If there is no relief, then the county Grand Jury is another step.The GJ is “ex-parte’and only the proscuter presents evidence for a criminal complaint.Defendants are not allowed to present mitigating evidence or even to know the testimony that was presented to the Gj.A criminal indictment then goes to the regular criminal procedure.There are reasons for the secretcy involved,one is to protect the reputation of the individual involved,another is fear that witnesses will be less likely to come forward and or be subject to retribution,or risk of the indicted will flee,another is a danger that a potential defendant will influence the votes of the Gj.Another function of the Grand Jury is to answer to matters apart from the criminal indictment such as when it involves a public scandal.There is more….much more.. and a responsible person with knowledge and expertise should answer these questions for that public who makes comments that continue to further worsen the present situation at the City Council level.

There is noone more raw about being removed from the Planning Commission than the two that were removed… Molina and Funez. So, which one are you? The vast majority of people could care less about their removal. That is old news, and not a crime. The council decides who will best serve as “advisors” to the council. These two have gone out of their way to show how much they disliked the council, who would want to keep them around.

BOOHOOHOO:

Who the hell cares that she has outbursts!!!! If you plan on dishing something at her then you better be ready for it to come right back at you!!!! This is America and Freedom of Speech is not only a right that civilians hold but also public officials and politicians!!!! It doesn’t matter if it is whispered or if it is yelled!!!! It’s still Freedom of Speech!!!! Get over it!!!! And the reason I singled out one thing with regards to Annette’s financial relationship with John Ramos is because all it takes is one item on that report to ruin the whole thing!!!! It’s a fact that the GJ hadn’t the slightest clue in what they were talking about, it’s a fact that their minds were made up on going all out on Campo, Smith, and Dominic and because of that the GJ report is a joke and so is all the people who back it!!! I mean really???? Couldn’t you have come up with all the facts instead of making yourself look stupid??? Even the all mighty Sam Cuellar violated his ethics training obligation!!!!! Again who cares!!!! But when you plan on playing with fire and you throw it in the direction of someone else then you better make sure you don’t leave yourself open for that person or persons to light your ass up right back!!!! It’s painstakenly obvious that the people that got this whole ball rolling hadn’t the slightest clue in who they were dealing with and what they were dealing with!!!!!

I don’t excuse nothing!!!!! I know for a fact that Annette’s only financial ties to John Ramos was her renting a storage unit from him!!!! Who the hell cares??? So does 600 other families or so!!!! So she should be ousted because she rents a storage unit from someone??? Really? Really? Really? The GJ report is a joke just like this county is and the people that actually think that they could get a GJ convened without knowing all the facts in the first place are a joke as well!!!! That’s what makes this whole thing laughable! You really honestly think that the Interim City Attorney doesn’t have the evidence to back it up??? Yeah ok!!!!! Good luck hoping for that to be the truth!!! Sit back and watch what happens next fools!!!!!
