By signing this petition, you are simply asking PJUSD and Patrick Sweeney to release information that they are obligated to provide in accordance with California law.
We don’t have the resources to hire a fancy lawyer to sue the school district for violating the California Public Records Act. Therefore, we simply ask for your support to show the school district that Patterson residents should have the opportunity to view any and all information pertaining to the education of their children.

My children are still at home, but this seems to be a reasonable request. I don’t know Patrick Sweeney personally, but my neighbors say he is a very nice and caring man. If the school district is required to provide the info, then why is this site going the petition route. Could a similar petition be made addressing the Wal Mart application?
