Due to the turnover in contributors, the Irritator will be on vacation from June 01 to September 01. Over this brief vacation, we will attempt to diversify our contributor entries and revist our main goals and objectives.

The city of Patterson will be broke in 3 years, just enough time for the current council to skip out. Now is the time to press these councilmembers before they leave with scattered mess. You guys deserve a vacation even though the last two months have been light. Have a great Summer.

Any word yet on the Harrington/Ramos deals? The school district was on the short end of the stick for that dirt on the eastside.

Harrington has several properties being foreclosed upon on Olive Avenue……….

He may have a pretty tough time picking up the tab if it falls on him, up and down Olive his properties are in the foreclosure process, probably not a big deal, hopefully the homeowners don’t get burned on this one.

I heard that the district paid several times what Harrington/Ramos optioned the land for. The district grossly overpaid for it.
The Villages is in big trouble. Ramos/Harringrton owned less than 50% of the north half to start with. Several of the properties are in foreclosure and I heard cash is real short. I’ve heard that Harrington has started to walk away from some options.
Someone told me Joe Halowell walked away too. Is that true?

Our air in the valley is so horrendous, ideas like this give me hope that we’re not totally doomed. Have a cool summer.

YOU HIPPIES ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE AIR. I HAVE LIVED HERE MY WHOLE LIFE, THE COUNTRY AIR IS AS FRESH AS EVER. A FEW PLANTS AIN’T GONNA DO MUCH.
THE KITE IDEA IS MORE BELIEVABLE THAN THAT HOGWASH.
WE’LL BE RUNNING A CANDIDATE IN 2010, WON’T BE KELLER.

I guess excessive lawyer bills and trivial lawsuits contain more value than recreation for kids. Priorities are screwed up.

This site should consider broadening its focus to include the school district, seems like the schools are just as important.

Garbage shouldn’t be the problem, it should create solutions.

Garbage Man
I just clicked on the link above and immediately thought to myself, maybe in a decade our city council will take a look at that. Great idea.
Any thoughts about the garbage issue in Patterson?

We didn’t expect people to visit the site since we posted our vacation sign. Nevertheless, we are glad to see that people are still interested important community affairs.
For the past year we have primarily directed most of our entries toward the city council. And while that bunch has temporarily avoided a grand jury investigation, it appears that most of the wrongdoers are headed out the door. We believe our blog can generate more community awareness and participation by broadening our topics to include Patterson Unified School District and Stanislaus County (BOS).
Lastly, to whomever posted the fred ross memorial……………great dig, we’ve watch all four parts.

Looks like the writing is on the wall for the Patterson Irrigator, I hear they will be out business in 18 months.

Hey Big Red,
Why now? Other small town newspapers are hanging on? What is going on with the Irrigator? Is that why these reporters are leaving?
