Okay, so after the election we’ve been trying to come up with a simple way for folks to post thoughts and ideas about the city of Patterson. For those of you that have lived in Patterson for some time, the name will come as no surprise. To the newcomers, locals have always referred to the local paper as the irritator. An irritator, is a genus of spinosaurid dinosaur that lived in the early Cretaceous Period (Albian stage), around 110 million years ago (see wiki). Don’t be confused, we’re not talking dinosaurs here.
This election cycle, the Patterson Irrigator did a remarkable job by providing a platform for concerned residents to participate in the races by voicing their opinions. A few of us took full advantage of this option by bringing several community issues to light. While at times it got a little nasty, some exchanges actually articulated bright and fresh ideas.
We will be adding contributors that will not be anonymous, so people who are fixated on exposing identities can keep conspiracy theories at bay.
Like I said on a PI comment, this past Tuesday the nation took a huge step forward, it my opinion that our city has remained stagnant at best.
Welcome to the Patterson Irritator!
One last note, our children read and see the newspapers, wonderful role models.
Editor’s note: The last sentence and title of this entry was referring to photos taken by th PI depicting our elected officials guzzling down some suds. Both mama and Kudos CEO were throwing back a few.

Fred,
Your simply a sore loser, I know the Mayor and Ms. Smith will continue to lead our city toward the right direction. Get over it!

Winner

Fred –
You must have a ton of time on your hands to start a website just to bug the council.
You always fail to recognize the good things that Becky has done, since you like lists…….:
1. Community Pool
2. Senior Center
3. Fire House
4. Football Field
5. Starbuck and Longs
You just always focus on the negative, its easy to to know people down, but what do you do?

Fred,
I agree with the other comments. You are a sore loser. We gladly elected to the right people to lead our town. Stop being negative and be positive about Patterson. It’s a great community.

After a nice dinner I just turned on the computer to see that the Patterson IrriTator was visited a little over 100 times. That probably means one of two things, either we have began to irritate the so called leaders of this community or people are finding it to be a worthwhile read, either way I appreciate the positive support.
Now to matter at hand, Burt seems a little defensive about the simple questions being asked of Kudos CEO. Burt seems to have a knee jerk reaction to anything I say, it kind of reminds me of a certain council member.
Listen Burt, you use the term stalking a little loosely, if you need more information as to what that actually entails here in California please go here http://www.ncvc.org/SRC/main.aspx?dbID=DB_California176#stalking otherwise put a lid on it.
You see “burt” you have another characteristic that is quite similar to the kudos CEO, you both think its illegal to criticize our elected officials. Again, Mr. Strope’s first constitution class told us that we are protected by something called the first amendment, and that protection is even greater if the person we’re criticizing is a public figure. You see, the united states of America actually did this on purpose to encourage the people to question their government.
So take a deep breath, relax and just speak to the issues. I will address your “issue related” points under the appropriate comment.
Maybe I should add “why can’t we be friends” to Freddy’s top three:)

That is a great list walker!
How can anyone complain about Patterson when we have all the bases covered..
a place to swim..except for the winter time..oh wait why is the pool heated? hmmm… a senior center because they are the most important people to take care of in this City..let’s see, an overcrowded middle school, with no cafeteria, increasing gang activity..Parks…i mean drain basins with a swing set, A TEEN CENTER THAT HOLDS A MAX OF 60 (with PHS holding 1500 Students)..that is a priority..god forbid we use the church facilities for senior dances, free lunch and BINGO..Lets think future lets help the youth! Fire house needed..this is a plus i will give predator that..cause you never know when people will start setting fire to their investments gone bad..can we say Insurance Claims..thanks for being part of the problem predator..single family homes shouldn’t have 4 families in them to make a mortgage..The football field can be credited to ROB Cozart for the forethought and down right tenacity of getting this off the ground and done! and of course no community will be right without starbucks..lets just hope Blue’s never goes belly up, cause that is Patterson’s Coffee Shop, and deserve to be in downtown, and not overshadowed by the Big Thermos from Seattle..
Great Job Predator..you have done us proud..now lets go give the developers on the GPAC something to lick their chops with…$$$$
